The fancy stuff I'll say that most people will have to try out themselves. The modders behind Skywind have released its first gameplay demo in a year, showing off how an original Morrowind quest has been expanded and improved for this hotly-anticipated fan release. A little mod that will disable you reading empty papers every time you try to pick one up.

One suggestion, get yourself a paper fix mod. The game is far more enjoyable for those new characters if you don't have to go through the tutorial process again. I want less critters trying to commit suicide while I'm on a quest, not more! And defeats the purpose of what I'm looking for in such a mod. Gigantic mod, true, but way, way too cluttered. What I used was called "less aggressive critters." I remembered a "hunt cliff racers to extinction" little mod but I never tried it myself. But you do need one if you don't want to walk around being hit on by every bloody CLIFF RACER (shivers) out there despite your shiny ebony armor - which I rather think you probably remembered from your old playing. You can either take one or two quick fixes or big ecological overhaul. Besides, it gives realism to Desele's House of Earthly Delights :P The nude version isn't actually that distracting. And a lot of clothing/armor mods out there rely on the Better Bodies' model. Self-explanatory and absolutely mandatory. The *must* for the mods (others are essentially personal preference) that I'd suggest are: Nowadays they have a crappy ordinary searcher that to me is downright useless. That is, they used to have an awesome mod-finder back when the Morrowind Summit was still in its old site which I consider the best Morrowind mod-finder in the whole internet. The mythicmods list is by far the best list of mods out there, even if it's not really that active anymore.

The most helpful link I can give you, a superb list of mods: Most were from Planet Elder Scroll I think. No, I can't remember what load order I used.

Now some conflict may with others, so get the load order right for the full effects. Red Skies - Very atmospheric ash storm red skies, recommended Unofficial Morrowind Patch - All sorts of fixes/optimisations PassiveHealthyWildlife - Less likely to be attacked by suicidal critters NPC Schedules - shops shut etc, like in Oblivion. Morrowind Sound Enhanced v1.5 - recommended soundpack MorrowindComesAlive - think this one added more NPCs, children etc MoonsSoulGems - improved Soul Gem textures Max's Glow - removes the glow on magic weapons Visual Pack 2.2 - Better terrain visuals, you'll want this one. I still have the following mods on my computer, but probably used more:īetterBodies2.1 - improves character modelsīetterHeads1.1 - improves character headsīetterBooksV1 - improved higher res booksįloraGLow - improved glow-in-the-dark plants
